About "Let Go" :

Cecily's sister, Lucinda, occasionally writes lyrics for us. In October, 2005, when Lucinda was six months pregnant, she wrote and sent along the lyrics to "Let Go," a love song. On January 15th, 2006, we got the heartbreaking news that Lucinda's baby, Theo, had been born that morning with an undiagnosed genetic condition and had died five hours later. Just after getting the phone call, we felt moved to write a song for Theo. Remembering that we had some lyrics in our files from Lucinda, we happened upon "Let Go" and could hardly believe how prophetic the words were. The music came easily. We dedicate this song to Theo and the Weatherby family.

Lyrics:

Let Go

1
For all those months I’d swim
In the mystery of him
Catching glimpses and signs
But not the whole design

And then there was that moment
That blew everything away
A streak of light through history
A glimpse into the mystery

Chorus:
Let go now, let go
I’m here and that was that
He was real, he was yours
But he isn’t coming back

2
I saw it in his eyes
That look with no disguise
But then I watched it rise
And it vanished in the`sky

It’s beginning to fade
Like the afternoon shade
Casting shadows on your face
And darkening this place

Chorus

3
I try to hold on
It’s why I sing this song
Hold it to my breast
Let go of all the rest

But now I can see
The way it’s meant to be
And my whole life’s become
A goodbye to the sun.

Chorus

Last Chorus (written by Cecily):

Let go now, let go, let go
I'm here now and that was that
He is real, he is yours, he is yours
He is always with you, now and evermore.
